Special Interest Groups
Special Interest Groups help members connect on a more personal level and tend to be rewarding and fulfilling. Form a group comprised of members sharing a common interest (Book Club, Mommy ‘n Me, Sister Mixers) with the intention of having this group create a bond with one another as well as the alumnae group. Interest Groups should have a chairman to be a liaison between the SIG and the alumnae chapter or association.
Happy Hour with our Social Sisters
Each month, we gather in a location in central San Diego County to wine and dine our sisters (and ourselves!). We send out invites through email and post reminders to our Facebook page. Please click here to join the Happy Hour SIG.

We will be discussing the book "Conviction" by Denise Mina The day Anna McDonald's quiet, respectable life explodes starts off like all the days before: packing up the kids for school, making breakfast, listening to yet another true-crime podcast. Then her husband comes downstairs with an announcement, and Anna is suddenly, shockingly alone.
Please contact Lynn Neagley at email@example.com for the location.
Saturday, April 18, 2020, 7:00 pm. Location: Tender Greens in Mission Valley. We will be discussing the book "Disney's Land" by Richard Snow. Saturday, May 30, 2020, 11:00 am. Location: Panama 66 in Balboa Park. We will be discussing "Where the Crawdad's Sing" by Delia Owens. For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl.
Active Anchors / Anchor Kids / Community Service
We've had interest in an Active Anchor SIG (meet for hikes and other outdoor activities to take advantage of our beautiful city), Anchor Kids SIG (meeting with other DG moms for play dates), and a Community Service SIG (providing additional opportunities to Do Good). Interested in leading or joining one of these groups? Please contact Jenn French for more information. Leading a SIG is a great way to give back to our chapter and to connect with like-minded sisters! We'll give you all the tools you need to succeed, and it takes as little or as much time as you're willing to give.
